Rebecca Esau

Rebecca is a manager with RMI’s buildings practice, where she leads projects aimed at reducing embodied carbon in buildings and construction in the United States and globally. Rebecca employs her experience as a licensed architect and expert knowledge of embodied carbon to create embodied carbon reduction policies for governments and private entities, and design and investment solutions for building owners and professionals.


Prior to joining RMI in 2020, Rebecca was the manager of projects at Building Energy Exchange, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building decarbonization and based in New York City.

Rebecca is a licensed architect and has worked on various design and construction projects across North America for private, institutional, and corporate clients.
